Senior Finance Specialist

Background
Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Finance Specialist for a 5 month contract in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for a high calibre commercial finance specialist who seeks the challenge and reward of working on major contracts in a complex IT environment. Main Duties/Responsibilities
* Support the evaluation of financial submissions underpinning the extension of a large IT contract. Create financial models to support decision making on alternative delivery options

Outputs/Deliverables to be achieved
* You must be able to demonstrate significant experience of working in senior/leadership roles in the field of large scale, high value, complex contracts (preferably in the ICT field in the public sector).

Skills/Experience Required
* Building and reviewing complex financial models using Excel. Assessing the basis of a suppliers cost build -up and ensuring that contract obligations are met eg appropriate allocation of overheads and margin. Building alternative scenarios to understand how service delivery time-scales and milestones impact costs.. The creation of briefings which present complex financial analysis in a way which enables senior stakeholders to understand the financial benefits and implications of the bid.. Proven ability to de-construct a complex excel spreadsheet model of a long term contract to prove the treatment of cost, overhead, margin and risk.

Formal Qualifications Required
* Consultative Committee of the Accounting Bodies (CCAB) qualified accountant with significant post qualification experience (desirable)
