Senior Finance Manager (SAP Required)

An opportunity with a global media giant and household brand based in Central London.

The Senior Finance Manager will operate at a Controller level and support financial accounting for the disposal of a well known division within the group.
The role requires an experienced qualified financial accountant, to assist the Finance Team to ensure they can meet the key deadlines for the sale and to ensure full compliance with all accounting and audit aspects of Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA).
The role will also oversee credit control function where additional oversight and reporting to management is now required to promptly address queries, liaise with sales directors, improve collections, and track balance transfers to satisfy the SPA closing balance sheet requirements.

Job Spec
* Financial accounting project lead for two-entity restructure and one-entity cessation to trade, including maintaining detailed project plans and reporting of project delivery to tight time lines
* Detailed review of balance sheet reconciliations to reduce accrued income, expenses and other accounting estimates and replace with actual amounts for timely settlement
* Overview of monthly transfer pricing entries and liaison with Tax department to implement additional entries required with business restructure alongside timely intercompany settlement
* Manage AR team and credit control function, preparing regular ageing and collection reports for management to track progress of collections, communicate and resolve key dispute issues
* Co-ordinate supply of audit information to external auditors and management of the audit process
* Prepare statutory financial statements for all legal entities in accordance with the audit time lines required
* Prepare accounting entries to record all aspects of the proposed sale and business closure in accordance with tight timetable
* Ensure SAP and supporting systems' balances and data are adjusted accurately to reflect proposed sale and business closure
* Correctly account for disposals for Fixed Assets

Required
* Worked within a multi-national and divisional reporting structure
* Working Knowledge SAP (Essential)
* Comprehension of UK and US Financial Reporting and Disclosure Requirements
* Understanding of the principals of UK, European and US Tax
* Working with multiple currencies and associated exchange impacts
* Professional Accountancy Qualification - ACA preferred
* Strong Excel skills
