SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER

My client is looking for a Senior Finance Manager to work with a Local authority on a 3-6 month contract in the Children's and Adults Finance Team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the interim Divisional Finance Manager (Children's and Adults Services), responsible for leading the Schools Finance Team in the following Key areas for Senior Finance Manager - Local authority: 2015-16 DSG and school budget setting process; Schools Forum; Schools closure of accounts and financial monitoring; High needs funding; Early years funding.

Knowledge and Experience:

- Experience in Schools Finance is essential.
- Detailed, up-to-date knowledge of all relevant aspects of Local Government finance including Local Authority accounting, the finance of LG and financial administration.
- Knowledge of issues affecting Local Government finance and proposed changes in financial legislation and regulations.
- Extensive experience of the following: Financial Governance, Financial Planning, Financial Decision Making, Financial Monitoring & Forecasting, Financial Reporting.
