Projektbeschreibung

The role I am recruiting for is working within the Insurance Finance team within the reporting services centre life, pensions & investments. The reporting team's responsibilities centre on the reporting of the financial performance of life assurance and other FSA regulated companies.

In particular, they focus on ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the income statement and balance sheet and the interpretation and analysis of the results, including:

*Monthly analytical review of financial results
*Preparation of statutory accounts, regulatory returns and other annual deliverables
*Production of technical, committee and Board Finance Reporting papers
*Maintenance of a robust control environment including review of month end journals and monthly reconciliations to meet set standards
*Building relationships with other areas (tax, actuarial, capital management, overseas) to ensure that the impact of their numbers on the results is understood
*Production of Solvency II results

The reporting service centre Accounting work-stream of the Finance Simplification Programme will deliver changes to the operating model of the reporting service centre Accounting team in addition to making various efficiency improvements to its processes, reporting tools.

The consultant will support this deliverable and will be required to help deliver the transition of activities, put in place process maps, documentation and controls as required to ensure a safe and successful transition to the proposed TOM

Within this deliverables also include, reviewing, revising the chart of accounts, single hierarchy, reviewing and changing how/where any enrichments should occur in the process/reporting tools, and revising, enhancing various other controls currently in place.

The ideal candidate will have:
*Strong technical accounting experience with good previous experience in revising finance processes and operating models in the Life Pensions investment industry and managing the change through to successful delivery
*Strong ability to produce process maps and documentation
