SENIOR FINANCE ASSISTANT

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Assistant to join The UK's Largest Mutual Life And Pensions Company in the Group Financial Reporting team. With competitive salary offerings this 6 month fixed term contract is a perfect opportunity to gain more experience and build upon your current skills and knowledge.

A DAY MAY SEE YOU;

- Producing accurate balance sheet reconciliations for review within agreed timescales
- Actively investigating and clearing outstanding reconciliation items
- Raising and inputting journals for regular accounting adjustments such as accruals and inter- company charges to ensure ledger integrity
- Perform analytical review and commentary
- Undertake ad hoc tasks involving analysis and investigation as required.

KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED;

- Experience of SAGE financial systems or similar general ledger
- Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and word
- Accounting knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience
- Ability to plan and prioritise to meet deadlines
- Good communication both written and verbal
- A willingness to take ownership of tasks and an interest in making process improvements
