Senior Expeditor Job

Yoh has two (6) month plus contract opportunities for TWO (2) SENIOR EXPEDITORS to join our client - Applied Materials/Varian in Gloucester, MA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manage the open Purchase Orders for designated commodity area and acting on reschedule messages as they relate to these PO's on a weekly basis.
- Reduce and manage excess and obsolete inventory by being aggressive with reschedule messages
- Resolve escalated incoming problem receipts.
- Maintain multiple material shortage(s) reports.
- Gain proficiency of the entire materials management cycle(s) of the company.
- Display proficiency in managing/balancing multiple tasks and directions simultaneously.
- Area managed will include a mix of commodities and will change as demand patterns shift from one area to another.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- FIVE PLUS (5+) YEARS MATERIALS PLANNING, PURCHASING, OR EXPEDITING EXPERIENCE RELATED TO VARIOUS COMMODITIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO OUTSOURCED MACHINING AND FABRICATION OF VARIOUS MATERIALS, CONTRACT MANUFACTURING AND OEM PRODUCTS.
- Strong negotiation, verbal, and written skills required.
- Experienced in Excel/Word or comparable spreadsheet software is required.
- BSBA, BSEE or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of SAP (Materials Management module) is very desirable.
- Semiconductor experience is a plus.
- Must be accustomed to a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Must be enthusiastic and professional in dealing with suppliers and internal customers.
- Have the ability to chase and follow-up and be very proactive.
- Someone that is accustomed to large volume and is well organized.
- Takes ownership of his/her project(s).
- Be able to read drawings and to differentiate between simple and complex parts or assemblies.
