Senior Equipment Engineer - Contract to Hire

Yoh has a contract to hire opportunity for a SENIOR EQUIPMENT ENGINEER to join our client in Fremont, CA.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage equipment procurement activities including vendor selection, build tracking, cost control, installation and commissioning.
- Conceptualize, design, fabricate, test and implement manufacturing fixtures.
- Support product development activities through Solid Works design, prototyping, engineering analysis and testing of new product design concepts.
- Build equipment documentation packages to support validation activities.
- Work with local machine shops to build and support all manufacturing equipment.
- Lead equipment development for key processes; chemistry dispensing, cleaning/drying of components, component assembly, packaging, assay automation.
- Work with Manufacturing to identify cost/quality/capacity bottlenecks and improve through equipment development activities.
- Lead all Solid Works design activities.
- Support all equipment Qualification and validation activities.

Job Qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- 10 plus years of experience designing
- Excellent interpersonal skills to allow effective participation in project teams.
- Self-motivated person with initiative to complete tasks independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in equipment validation.
- Experience designing and drafting with Solid Works.
- Desire to work in a hands on environment.
- The candidate must be a detail-oriented, fast troubleshooter and bring a positive, open minded attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Willingness to work in a clean room environment and interface with manufacturing personnel.
