Senior Enterprise Architect/Governance Team Lead

Senior Enterprise Architect/ Governance Team Lead is required for our client a global organisation and a leading player in their field based in the Midlands. This is initially for a 3 month contract that is likely to extend at 550 to 650 per day.
Objective
The Enterprise Architecture function is responsible for defining and maintaining the Enterprise Architecture Principles, ensuring they are aligned to business strategy, setting out the Enterprise Architecture governance processes and arbitrating on key strategic and tactical decisions that may require the issuance of waivers (controlled deviation from the Principles due to warranted tactical imperative). The Enterprise Architecture function liaises closely with Solution Architecture, assuring architecturally significant projects are aligned with overall architecture strategy.
Architectural Governance:
Ensures compliance of Solution Architectures with the Enterprise Architecture Principles, design best practice and relevant policies. This is achieved through a defined solution review process, and exceptions (waivers). Waivers may be submitted to the Enterprise Architecture function for consideration at the Architecture Review Council or in cases of escalation at the Architecture Advisory Board.
The Enterprise Architecture Function governs 'architecturally significant projects'. It also instigates periodic quality reviews of projects that have declared 'compliance' with the Enterprise Architecture Principles (and design best practices). This is important to ensure the Principles are fully understood and that there are no issues with interpretation
The Enterprise Architecture function provides an architecture repository (based on TOGAF). This is used to store the core architectural artefacts.

Key Skills

EA with Governance and Team Leader experience.

TOGAF v9 certification

Has achieved proficiency at Level 5 and above in any SFIA Strategy & planning Skill. Has significant experience in the analysis of a range of business organisations, and experience of business change.

Good knowledge of all major Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies
