Senior Enterprise Architect x3, to work for a Central Government Organisation based in Warrington.

This is a 1 year contract.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, development and implementation of the IT infrastructure
- Documenting the departments cloud requirements
- Defining the service management wrapper around our new and existing hosting services
- Responsible for production of high-level solution designs across projects allocated.
- Developing and implementing technical architecture and design strategies, Development and maintenance of the enterprise IT architecture document set for the Departments infrastructure assets.
- Assisting in the development, definition and maintenance of the enterprise IT architecture for the programme.
- Providing IT technical leadership, consultancy, expertise and direction to the team and working with suppliers to ensure that new technologies are considered and impacted, and IT solutions are effective, efficient and consistent with: Agreed IS and IT strategies and supporting policies, frameworks procedures and standards and Departmental and BU strategic, business and financial objectives.
- Helping create an engaged and collaborative organisation that delivers extraordinary results in everything it does
- Reviewing and contributing to the technical outputs in order to bring to bear the range of insight and experience.
- Challenge so that programme products and processes are of the highest possible standards.
- Systematic and rigorous strategic analysis of architectural issues, including where appropriate intermediate decision points.
- Supporting, challenging, collaborating and leading senior managers and decision makers.
- Strong IT architect with experience of designing IT infrastructures for large organisations.. Experience of cloud based infrastructure (Public and Private)
- Experience of leading, engaging and managing people and teams and driving change in a Matrix environment
- Experienced in the definition and delivery of IT strategies delivering business value including strategic planning or developing strategic capabilities within a large and complex multi-supplier organisation
- Proven track record of having exploited information and technology for business benefit and innovation within a corporate environment
- Knowledge of strategic planning and modelling frameworks.
- Extensive experience of working with senior executives in a large and complex federated business environment.
- Proven ability to articulate, to a professional standard, complex technical ideas in clear, informative and accessible language, tailored as necessary for the intended audience.
- Highly developed networking and stakeholder management skills.
- Expertise in building cloud infrastructure (Public and Private)

OUTPUTS/DELIVERABLES TO BE ACHIEVED

- Support delivery of the Hosting Transition and Transformation requirements.
- Upskill and knowledge share with existing ITTP stakeholders, details of specialist market technological advances that would benefit and support the achievement of the 10 year Hosting vision.
- Actively contribute to the production of the interim and target operating models, Invitation to Tender, future Contract, Payment Methodology, competition Evaluation Models, transition approach and planning.
- To support the strand during the ITQ period and bid evaluation process, and assure transition to the transition and future operating models.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Hosting specialist with skills in: Data Centre Hosting, WANBig Data; Cloud IaaS, PaaS Test Environments; Shared IT Services; Disaster Recovery/High Availability; Hosting tools and data analysis; End to End Service Mapping and disaggregated service level agreements
- Audit and Asset Management experience in software and hardware; Implementing ITIL methodology; Large scale IT transformation; Transition planning and large scale IT relocation.
