Senior Engineer Vmware/Continuous Delivery

We are looking for a Dev Engineer Continuous Delivery to work in Amsterdam.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Dev Engineer you will be working together and you will be responsible for delivering efficient and maintainable code which is well documented.

Your main focos will be on:

- Design, develop and maintain the code to support the Continuous Delivery and shift left initiative within ING.
- Improving our continuous integration, increasing our automated test coverage, and helping us get to the next level of maturity with respect to Continuous Delivery.

In addition to being part of a squad, you will also contribute to:

- Streamlining the chapter's development process from code check-ins, automated deployment and acceptance testing, all the way towards production.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE:

- You have a strong affinity with Continuous Delivery
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- You have real world OO design experience and knowledge of design patterns, combined with an ability to succinctly convey design information using suitable tools
- Good knowledge of Java 7/8 including the Spring framework 3.x/4.x and/or JEE 6.0/7.0
- Good knowledge OS fundamentals with the ability to apply it in the context of modern operating systems (eg Linux, Windows 2008/2012)
- Knowledge on virtualized components is an important nice to have (eg vCenter, ESXi, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of Bash Scripting
- Experience with at least one modern Scripting language (eg Python, Ruby, etc.)
- A working knowledge of JavaScript, AngularJS and modern WEB 2.0 development
- Great English communication skills, verbal as well as written
- You value a multi-cultured environment where English is the working language and you easily get on with people from different cultural backgrounds
