Senior Engineer- PSSA Engineer

ELECTRICAL CONTROL AND INSTRUMENTATION SAFETY ENGINEER - WITH SAFETY CASE AND FAULT TREE ANALYSIS EXPERIENCE.

An Electrical Control and Instrumentation Safety Engineer with safety case and fault tree analysis experience is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Cumbria.

This is a twelve month contract working for a UK leading defence client.

OVERVIEW OF THE ELECTRICAL CONTROL AND INSTRUMENTATION SAFETY ENGINEER CONTRACT ROLE

Your key responsibilities would include Key Deliverables such as a set of Safety reports to be delivered as part of the Successor Safety Case from Detailed System Design Review (DSDR) to Design and Integration Review (D & IR)

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE ELECTRICAL CONTROL AND INSTRUMENTATION SAFETY ENGINEER

The individual should be an Electrical Engineer/C&I Engineer/Safety Analyst/Safety Engineer/Ex Submariner CAT2

- Systems Functional Failure Analysis
- Preliminary System Safety Analysis requiring Fault Tree Analysis FTA using reliability work bench
- SIL categorisation of SSC important to safety
- Able to within the QMS, Teamcenter and CWE document management repositories
- A good understanding of process development and design philosophies

The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District
