SENIOR ENGINEER - EMC, RAIL, TOC, CHARTERED ENGINEER

My client is a leading transport company who are looking to recruit a Senior Engineer to join their team on an initial 5 month contract.

THE ROLE IS BASED IN MILTON KEYNES AND PAYING UP TO £450 PD.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The team is responsible for providing EMC Assurance activities to our stakeholders, to achieve:
-

Enhanced safety
-

EMC Assurance between trains, infrastructure and its neighbours, to meet our operational targets;
-

Proactive liaison with the railways neighbours and other government enforcement organisations where EMC can be an issue.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

-

Provide expert advice input and support associated with the provision of services for our customers and suppliers
-

Provide expert advice, support and input to technical accident and incident investigations
-

Support engineering analysis and risk assessment, including assessment of applications for derogations and non-compliance
-

Provide the technical input into the development of the standards, specifications, means of compliance and KPIs for Asset Management including system risks
-

Liaise with product manufacturers, including external stakeholder eg TOC and provide input into the acceptance processes.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

-

Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline or able to demonstrate an equivalent level of experience
-

Broad technical engineering experience

- Membership of a relevant technical body with Chartered status
- Knowledge of the railway industry and a understanding of railway infrastructure
