For a 12 month project at our banking client in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced
SENIOR ENGINEER - BIG DATA/HADOOP (4280)
The ideal candidate will implement in this role seamless MIGRATION FROM THE CLASSICAL DATAWAREHOUSE PLATFORM TO THE BIG DATA DLATFORM. You will have the great opportunity to be the key part of the strategic Big Data Platform and play major technical role in the migration process from EDW to Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ YEARS HANDS-ON HADOOP DEVELOPMENT/ENGINEERING/PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE
- DETAILED KNOWLEDGE OF HADOOP AND RELATED TECHNOLOGIES
- EXCELLENT WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF SECURITY CONCEPTS (AS THEY RELATE TO HADOOP)
- Configuration Management (SALTSTACK, PUPPET, CHEF, ANSIBLE, ETC.)
- Strong understanding of data pipeline, data transformation approaches and tools
- HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE WITH HIVE SQL
- Strong UNIX skills (Redhat preferred)
- Strong Python/Java/Scala programming
- EXCELLENT ENGLISH SKILLS (ORAL/WRITTEN)
