We are looking for a SENIOR EMPLOYEE RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE (Healthcare) for a 3 months contract position in Atlanta, GA.

SKILLS:

- Provide employee relations support, guidance and advice to management and employees within various divisions across the Health System to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and local, state and federal regulations and requirements.
- Utilizes knowledge and expertise in the employee relations and human resources field relating to one or more functional areas to investigate, address and resolve issues and problems, including but not limited to personnel management, policy and procedure interpretation and implementation, benefits, employee retention, engagement and change management.
- Support Client Health System mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy.
- Act as key role holder for pro-active engagement of talent groups through structured interactions, as well as regular formal and informal communications.
- Provide inputs for improving the effectiveness of processes, policies on talent management. Investigate corporate compliance issues as directed and in a timely manner, including but not limited to ensuring appropriate documentation/recommendation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Reviews planned disciplinary actions with managers and supervisors to ensure uniformity of application of Standards of Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures. Advises managers concernig the application of Health System policies and practices, proper documentation and invetigatory procedure. Examines and advises managers on Employee Reprimand Reports, Discharge Notices and Termination Reports as necessary.
2. Conducts inservice classes on requested topics, including New Employee Orientation.
3. Monitors compliance of PPD/Annual Health Screening in conjunction with Employee Relations Assistant.
4. Investigates and researches information to respond to EEOC charges. Prepares responses in cooperation with the Director, Employee Relations
5. Represents the Health System at unemployment compensation hearings. Determines which witnesses and what evidence will be necessary to present the facts of the case; interviews and prepares witnesses. Coordinates scheduling of witnesses and hearing dates.
6. Maintains detailed records regarding each separation and unemployment claim for unemployment billing and monthly claims.
7. Meets or consults with employees facing suspension or discharges to review pending evidence in cases against them and offer them an opportunity to present additional evidence.
8. Manages the Issues Resolution Process. Maintains a log of Issues Resolution filings and status. Advises employees and their managers of the process and procedures involved. Upon request, recommends and advises manages and employees of potential disciplinary actions.
9. Responds to and processes verification of reemployment requests.
10. Conducts or participates in fact-finding interviews, collects data, researches records, and presents written statements and other materials concerning employment complaints against the Health System on request from the Director, Employee Relations. This also includes research and investigation of EEOC or other charges or allegations presented by the employee. Prepares position statements or summary of investigations. Such research may also include the original investigation of cases of current employees involving potential disciplinary actions.
11. Conducts in-service classes concerning disciplinary practices, policies and procedures, and unemployment compensation as requested, including New Employee Orientation and New manager's Orientation. Work on special projects as assigned. Facilitate pro active engagement conversations between the talent groups and managers, mentor, etc. Assess the quality of engagement of talent groups through surveys and interviews and provide feedback to the key stakeholders.
