Senior Electrical Engineer

An exciting new Opportunity for a new contract role within the rail sector
Duties
* Delivery of E&P works and 25kV electrification projects.
* Design of E&P systems.
Equipment Specifications. Procurement and supplier liaison.
* Site layouts and cabling.

Experience & Background

* Educated to degree level (or HNC/HND with the correct experience) in electrical engineering and also have work experience within the rail industry
Used to operating in a design office environment and be a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or working towards becoming such in the near future.
Used to leading teams and working with clients to satisfy their requirements, have product knowledge of electrical equipment and ideally have worked in Railway applications and projects.
Have a good understanding of standards is required together with current knowledge and experience of carrying out calculations and developing designs.
As a team member or leader of part of a project, you will have the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels.
* Design experience include Points Heating schemes, Lighting schemes, Earthing and Bonding, Electrical Power Distribution HV / LV, Cabling and Containment, SCADA interfaces,.
* Ensuring Network Rail Group and Line Standards / processes are followed and all designs / installation comply with relevant British and European Standards.
* Capable of contractual discussion where issues have wider implications.
