Senior Electrical Design Engineer - Rail

Are you a senior electrical design engineer looking for a new contract in rail? My client are at the heart of Britains railways and are in the midst of a huge rejuvination project throughout the UK. They are currently looking for people across the North West, North East and Yorkshire on 12 month contracts to join their busy team. The successful candidate will manage all engineering and design development activities resulting in schemes that are affordable and meet programme requirements in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. You must manage the development of suitable engineering options for a proposal giving full consideration to safety, reliability and maintainability. You will use risk ID and evaluation methods (HAZOP, QRA, LRM and GK/RT/14200 suite) to evaluate and compare options. Your experience will enable you to confirm whether strict change control is maintained on scope development by evaluating cost, time and performance impacts in conjunction with development management. A key part of this role will be to manage the preparation of the full engineering data package requirement for commencement of the detailed design. You must also carry out independent checking of safety critical signalling design documentation.
