Senior Education Officer

An opportunity is now available for a SENIOR EDUCATION OFFICER for an initial 6 month contract located at PARRAMATTA.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Demonstrated high level policy development skills and experience, including research capabilities and experience in the design, development and delivery of qualifications, training courses and policies related to occupations.
- Extensive experience researching and drafting evidence based Board policy papers and reports and preferably experience preparing Ministerial correspondence and briefings.
- Knowledge and experience of NSW government processes including public consultations.
- The ability to operate both independently and effectively in consultation within a team and with different teams to produce consistently high quality work in a challenging and dynamic environment.
- Highly developed project and resource management skills.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, ethical practice and knowledge of public sector administrative procedures.
- Knowledge, commitment, and the ability to implement the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity, ethical practices, Ethnic Affairs Priority Statements, and Occupational Health and Safety, as they relate to the position described
- A degree or postgraduate qualification in education (or equivalent)
- A TAA40104 Certificate IV in Assessment and Training (or equivalent) and experience in adult education.
- Superb communication skills (written & verbal)
