Senior Ecosys EPC Business Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for eliciting, analysing, validating and documenting the business needs of project stakeholders. This includes interviewing stakeholders, gathering and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the project life cycle. The Business Analyst will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the development process, and to ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications. The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring business requirements are clearly understood and communicated to the technical teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Elicit and document requirements using business analysis techniques such as interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, use cases and workflow analysis.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements to deliver the following artifacts: Business and Functional Requirements Document, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs among others.
- Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and technical teams through which requirements flow.
- Solves organizational information problems by analysing requirements, designing technical solutions, recommending system controls and protocols.
- Determines operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information and evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Conceptualize project management tools by analysing requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities and writing specifications.
- Improves existing systems by studying current practices and designing enhancements.
- Recommends controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures.
- Monitors project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports and recommending actions.
- Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation, providing help desk support and training users.
- Prepares technical reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

- ECOSYS EPC EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
- BUSINESS ANALYSIS EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
- Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent, from an accredited university, in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or MBA preferred
- IIBA/PMP certifications is a plus
- Excellent meeting facilitation skills (including virtual meetings)
- Expert in process mapping, documentation, analysis, and redesign skills
- Understanding of SDLC
- Ability to influence and motivate extended teams and working in a Matrix
- Excellent Conflict management skills in working with multiple groups
- Microsoft Project (Intermediate)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proactive, energetic self-starter with good problem solving skills
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment with little supervision
