Economic Capital Consultant - Actuary or Qualified Accountant

An Economic Capital consultant is required to lead the implementation of managing and reporting business performance on an economic basis. This will involve working alongside the broader risk transformation programme that is currently under way. The person will need to work closely senior Directors within the business in help build an economic reporting team within the business.

Responsibilities of Economic Capital Consultant - Actuary or Qualified accountant

- Deliver the core requirements and embed the Economic Risk Capital Management ("ERCM") framework within the business. This will involve being responsible for all aspects from Business Planning, Setting and Monitoring of Targets and Public Reporting together with other areas such as Liquidity and Remuneration and Compensation
- Provide strong technical capabilities and insight into how economic reporting can be performed utilising the existing resources of the business
- To prepare executive reporting for the relevant steering committees and attend those committees where applicable.
- Reporting to the various executive bodies responsible for risk transformation such as the Executive Risk Committee, the Board Risk and Compliance Committee and the Board.
- Support finance in integrating the new reporting requirements into business as usual processes and outputs.

Skills and experience of Economic capital Consultant - Qualified Accountant Or Actuary

- The candidate will ideally has had past experience of working in an organisation that has Embedded economic reporting across the business
- The person will have strong technical knowledge and also have excellent leadership and communication skills in particular having the ability to influence at executive level
- Qualifications: Professional Financial or Actuarial qualification eg ACA, ACCA, CIMA, FIA or FFA.

Experience of Actuary Or Qualified Accountant:

- Work with senior stakeholders in a demanding and high profile role
- Presentation of reports and papers at Board level and external parties
- Can provide drive and direction to change initiatives, influencing and bringing others on the journey as required
- Strong working knowledge/expertise in financial and actuarial reporting (IFRS and MCEV) and financial KPI's for life businesses
