Are you an EXPERIENCED DIRECT MARKETEER looking for a 12 MONTH CONTRACT to work across an award winning portfolio of digital and print products? An opportunity has arisen to join a leading media / publishing company, they're looking for a Senior Direct Marketing Executive to join their subscriptions marketing team.

The ideal candidate will have experience of planning and executing effective direct marketing campaigns and a subscription marketing background is preferable. Responsibilities will include delivering the budgeted subscription revenues for their designated titles; ensuring subs volumes are in line with the title's circulation objectives, maximising yields to drive profitability, using subs MI to constantly improve results and managing promo budgets to deliver effective marketing activity for both acquisitions and retention.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR DIRECT MARKETING EXECUTIVE:

-Support the Senior Marketing Manager and other colleagues
-Develop and implement strategic marketing plans that support the brands business objectives and drive conversions
-Develop and maximise stakeholder and third party relationships to deliver on brand objectives and strategies
-Liaise with production teams, central departments, designers, bureau, suppliers and agencies

Evaluate and report on marketing campaigns - measuring success by incorporating rigorous ROI measurement across all campaigns and forecast future performance -Manage marketing budgets, purchase orders, and invoicing on a day to day basis
-Understand current and potential customers, and the associated customer journeys (CRM)
-Work closely with our production/design team to generate marketing materials, including online & print creative.

Assist in writing and supplying creative briefs to the agencies and design teams (internal or external) -Assist in writing promotional material, proof-reading and seeking sign-off of marketing materials
-Take shared responsibility for ensuring brand consistency across all platforms
-Work with the Marketing Database team to constantly improve quantity, quality and usage of data
-Innovate, problem-solve and aim for continuous improvement in order to exceed publisher expectations.
-Management of one or more projects in their entirety. Usually such projects will impact on several or all titles in the department and effective management requires a greater degree of autonomy, effective planning, strategic thought and time and budget management in order to deliver specified results.
-Understand and protect yield and profitability
-Monitor competitor activity and interpret their strategy

JOB REQUIREMENTS OF THE SENIOR DIRECT MARKETING EXECUTIVE:

-Marketing degree or similar professional qualification (CIM, IDM etc) or demonstrable experience
-A high standard of IT literacy and skills (Excel and PWP especially)
-Ability to analyse and report effectively - good numeracy skills and knowledge of stats
-Ability to judge appropriate communication for each brand
-Creative approach to new campaigns
-Ability to work effectively across a variety of departments
-Lateral thinker and creative problem solver
-Proactive, can-do attitude, willing to learn and adopt new ideas
-Demonstrate good communication skills, both written and verbal
-Strong organisational skills and ability to work on several projects simultaneously
-Plenty of drive and determination
