Senior Digital Electronics Engineer

My global engineering client based in Hampshire is seeking a Senior Digital Electronics Engineer for a 3+ month rolling contract. This position would suit someone with a background in FPGA/ASIC Firmware Design and Development, as well as experience of VHDL code and model based development.

You will be working within a team of power electronics, analogue electronics and control specialists, reporting to the Electronics Engineering Manager.

The ideal candidate will have:
* Digital electronics, FPGA and/or ASIC design experience
* Engineering degree or equivalent with strong technical problem solving skills
* Working knowledge of VHDL or similar
* Working knowledge of Matlab/Simulink or similar digital prototyping tools
* Communications skills - both verbal and written with ability to generate and communicate clear status reports
* Knowledge of/familiarization with DO-254 standard and associated documentation
* Strong project management skills with good prioritization and time management
* Good and practical understanding of FPGA/ASIC design optimization techniques and mitigation against electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues
