We are currently recruiting on behalf of a major Government client for a Senior Digital Designer to take responsibility for a team of Web Designers, produce strategies and direction and provide expertise of how design decisions impact accessibility both internally and externally.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate previous proven capability in the following areas:

-defining end to end architectural solutions within a large-scale enterprise, ideally involving online digital services in an agile environment
-knowledge of a broad set of technologies across areas such as system platforms, web, databases, software development languages and tools
-experience with open source solutions, using and deploying on cloud based platforms
-developing digital services on brownfield estates with Legacy systems
-work as part of a multi-disciplinary team including other designer, developers, researchers, content designers and product manager managers to deliver user focused successful a services.
-produce design concepts for digital services, often working to very tight deadlines and work with Front End developers to implement those concepts.
-working with user researchers to ensure that all output, internal and external, is well designed and user focused.
-delivering high quality finished digital service designs that meet web standards and GDS/GOV.UK design principles, ensuring that elements are well designed, consistent and user focused.
-building relationships and working effectively within an agile delivery centre with colleagues and external providers, for example user researchers and business analysts.
-Agile practices and techniques
-designing interactions professionally for the web (including responsive design for mobile devices)
-solid demonstrable experience of web and mobile application interface design.
-proven ability to transform customer requirements into a workable design
