Senior Devops Specialists

Senior DevOps Specialists required for immediate starts. Are you looking to work at the forefront of technology within the government sector? We are looking for four experienced Dev Operations specialists who are passionate about Agile/SCRUM development practices, continuous integration and automation engineering ASAP to work on up to 26 varying projects.

Tasked with building a new development infrastructure and platform, technologies such as the following are in high demand and extremely key to the successful infrastructure builds. Nexus, Hadoop, CentOS, JBOSS, Zabbix VMWare, Cloud, Maven (Artifactory), RabbitMQ. Puppet and Jenkins, MongoDB, Ubuntu, Node.JS, Java and Scala.

As Dev Ops Specialist you must boast a wealth of demonstrable experience configuring web and application Servers and possess a fundamental understanding of Linux/UNIX. As DevOps engineer you will have previous experience supporting a large production platform. You will work closely with the development team to ensure applications and services are interacting efficiently with the infrastructure it runs on, bridge the knowledge gap between operations and development and assist to communicate back performance and application metrics to the business.

Work is mostly in Java and Node.js. They are utilising continuous integration tools like Ansible, Puppet and Jenkins to deploy to and manage the VMWare environment, and Nagios for monitoring. They use MongoDB, Redis, MariaDB and RabbitMQ to harness, store, analyse and transport data.

My client love diversity: some of the team worked at start-ups, some at big corporates. Some people in the team love Node.js and others even Go (golang). A mix of JVM-based languages and dynamic languages will be great assets but as long as you're keen to learn, don't mind picking up new things and are interested in all aspects of building software systems, you'll fit right in.
