DevOps Engineer - West London - Unix/Linux

Square one are looking for a 3 x DevOps Engineer to come on board for a 6 month contract based in West London.

Description:

You will join a software development group that uses cutting edge technology to provide applications that put them first for online content, customer service and sales. You will either join a team of DevOps Engineers, or be Embedded into a Scrum team developing and running one or more websites or services, and will focus on repeatable ways to install and dynamically scale our applications and the operating systems they run on. The systems we build and run are depended on every day, and as a result our systems are large scale and need to rapidly respond to changing demand in Real Time, across private infrastructure and public cloud IaaS.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you'll be knowledgeable and passionate about technology, will be good and getting things done and believe that the route to speed and stability is through automation.

Key Responsibilities:
Enhancing and supporting a build framework for deploying applications and managing Linux Servers.
Running development, stage and production environments and deployments.
Supporting and working alongside Agile development teams to ensure they have all the facilities to get the job done.
Designing and implementing a platform including automated provisioning, security, management infrastructure (eg DNS, time, Authentication, mail and directory services)

Requirements/Skills:
Deep understanding of a Unix/Linux based operating system
Implementation or support of cloud-based infrastructures
Experience with Jetty, Tomcat Java Application Server or similar - at scale
Hands-on experience with some of the following technologies: Cassandra, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Python & Nagios

This is an urgent role looking ot start ASAP with telephone interviews scheduled for next week. This is paying up to £500 per day depending on experience with interviews to be scheduled this week.
