The Role

We are seeking a Senior DevOps engineer to join a well-known broadcasting company in the Netherlands on a contract basis. The DevOps Engineer will be involved in a highly available and fully scalable web services product which will handle huge load whilst maintaining speed and low latency. The DevOps Engineer will use cutting edge development techniques based around Java and will be exposed to modern DRM technologies, Cloud Deployments and Crypto/Secure protocols.

Senior DevOps Engineer Responsibilities

*Deployment of releases into test and development environments
*Work to improve overall functionality and performance of the web services and in order to deliver the best customer experience
*Planning, design and implementation.
*Configuration and Integration.

Senior DevOps Engineer Skills:

*BS/MS Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
*Professional experience managing Java stack deployments.
*Linux/Unix.
*Excellent knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios
*Experience with automation/configuration management systems using eg Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt
*Experience of networks, security, load balancers, DNS and other infrastructure components
*BASH Scripting.
*Open Source and Cloud Skills - AWS.
*OOP/Object Orientated Programming.
*Java EE/SE.
