Senior Development Operations Engineer Job

SENIOR DEVELOPMENT OPERATIONS ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity for Yoh's client in Phoenix, AZ.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and documentation of an environment to support hosted customer and development operations in Microsoft Azure.
- Develop, implement and maintain Operations strategy and processes built on Agile continuous delivery principles & methodology.
- Develop standards, methods and tactics to manage development and runtime environments focused on speed, consistency and strong security controls for web-based eCommerce systems.
- Design and document internal processes for the Operations team to manage, maintain, and evaluate production systems to meet or exceed customer SLA's

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in software development, including object-oriented programming techniques
- Minimum three years of experience with C# and .NET required
- Demonstrated proficiency of troubleshooting techniques and detail-oriented problem diagnosis.
- Familiarity with server and network technology, including virtualization, storage systems, databases, switching/routing, TCP/IP, load balancers, and Firewalls.
- Familiarity with diagnostic troubleshooting and monitoring tools such as Microsoft System Center 2012 or comparable monitoring/management application, including developing data collection points, log compilation, dashboard development, and automated alerting systems
- Demonstrated abilities to convert operational business needs into technical functional design requirements
- Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in software development, including object-oriented programming techniques
- Minimum three (3) years of experience with C# and .NET required
- Experience with Scripting languages, preferably PowerShell, or Python, Perl or Ruby as acceptable substitutes
- Experience with one or more source control applications such as Team Foundation Server, Subversion or Perforce
- Candidate must have strong leadership, communication and technical skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
- The ability to handle aggressive timelines and focus under pressure is a must.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with Enterprise hosting operations development in a 3rd party data center is a plus.
- Experience with Enterprise application deployment and operations management within Windows Azure is a plus.
