Senior Developer - Contract

A multinational, IT driven company, seek a Senior Lead Developer, which will have an emphasis on Front End projects.

Based in their state of the art Dublin City HQ. Initial 6 month contract, this is very likely to be extended in 6 month increments. Excellent daily rates and contractor friendly environment. This company has a huge amount of projects, across all platforms and stacks. They have large .net, Java, JavaScript/HTML5 and native app development teams.

You will have a strong development background, with lead experience and ideally some experience on HTML5 projects or some knowledge of HTML5.

You will have experience with Front End development/production Team Lead. You will ideally boast multimedia experience and knowledge of JavaScript and the associated libraries/frameworks. You will have experience leading large internal and external teams.

A primary focus will be to support a COMMON CARTRIDGE (standards) project. Ideal if you have strong XML skills.

ESSENTIAL

- At least 4+ years software/web development experience
- Minimum 1 years proven leadership/management experience
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (AGILE/Scrum/Kanban/Test Driven Development)
- Knowledge of FRONT END DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORKS
- Ability to advise other engineers on software deliveries from early conceptual stage through to completion
- Skilled in delivering quality products using latest technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3
- Experience using popular JS utility libraries and Frameworks, especially JQuery, UNDERSCORE.JS, BACKBONE, ANGULAR etc.
- Responsive Design principles
- Experience Test Driven Development and testing frameworks
- Design patterns including Model View Controller, Singleton, Module etc.
- Must be able to work with a team of developers (both internal and external) on multiple projects simultaneously

DESIRABLE

- Good knowledge of XML/XSLT
- Good knowledge of repositories
- Good knowledge of process automation engineering such as GRUNT, YEOMAN or similar
- Good knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as Testing JS, Jasmine, Mocha, Handdlebar
- Experience in E-learning standards (eg SCORM, Common Cartridge, XAPI)
- Experience in working with Learning Management Systems and integrating with platform-side APIs
- Mobile development experience (iOS, Android and Windows)
