Senior Developer (BI/BW/IP)

For our client, a pharmaceutical company in Switzerland, we are looking for a motivated and ambitious:

SENIOR DEVELOPER (BI/BW/IP)

As BW/IP developer and technical lead the you will support the implementation of new reports, data flows and new applications while supporting the Project Manager to manage the technical team and manage technical delivery to achieve project milestones.

As senior developer and technical lead, you will work in close partnership with the Project Manager to support on manage project scope, requirements, project schedules, project risks.
You will utilize project and document management software-based tools, templates and framework to maintain and update key project information for reporting and status. As technical lead, you will exercise interpersonal skills, and conflict management skills to establish positive team dynamics and motivate the team to deliver on its goals and objectives; on time and within budget.

TASKS:

- Act as a deputy of the Project Manager, assuming her/his responsibilities in her/his absence
- Deliver quality results within defined timelines
- Apply strong knowledge of BW technology to support other program streams, enhance and improve existing applications, and create new ones.
- Design, coding and testing of custom objects based on Functional Design Specifications.
- Documents test plans and completes unit testing of developed objects.
- Proposes options to close gaps and get project back on schedule

REQUIREMENTS:

- 8 years' experience in Business Intelligence/DWH
- 5 years' experience in SAP-BI-IP
- Broad experience in the conception and implementation of BW solution for Finance functions in big companies using SAP BW/IP
- Experience in leading and supporting technical project teams remotely while leasing with project manager.
- Customer oriented person while understanding the different phases of an IT project to implement a SAP BW application
- Recognized expert-level knowledge of relevant methodologies, technologies, languages, standards and processes with 8+ years of experience in relevant area, preferably with broad industry exposure.
- Capability to think strategically
- Excellent understanding of complex landscapes and relationships (business, systems, policies, etc.)
- Excellent ability to communicate to others not only what is being done and how, but also why
- Incorporating technical and operational requirements into IT solutions. Developing, researching, designing, implementing, testing, and evaluating various types of IT applications, programs, and software depending in domain
- Sound knowledge of standard project tools and methods
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in English
- Some flexibility to travel may be required (approx. 5%, locations still unknown)

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience in XCelsius, Analysis Office, Design Studio would be an asset.
- Finance and product costing knowledge

LOCATION: BASEL (REMOTE WOULD BE POSSIBLE ONCE A WEEK PRIOR TO APPROVAL)
