Senior Developer/Analyst

The University of Central Lancashire wishes to recruit a Senior IT Developer Analyst to play a leading role in the development and delivery of key corporate IT projects. The successful candidate will develop, implement, support a number of IT systems and services including Oracle based corporate systems. The post is a two year fixed term contract which will support the recently launched 'Student First' programme. The Student First programme is reviewing many of the university's business processes to ensure they work effectively for students. This will inevitably lead to requirements for business and system change.

Essential technical skills will include knowledge and experience of using ORACLE RDMS, Oracle PL/SQL and Microsoft .NET using C#. You will possess a good understanding and knowledge of structured methods to deliver enterprise level solutions and have a sound knowledge of project management methods and tools. You will have excellent analysis and problem solving skills; a proven track record of delivering projects within time and on budget and a commitment to personal and professional development.

In order to support the university you will need a good knowledge of current and emerging technologies and an aptitude to apply these technologies in a Higher Educational environment. You must demonstrate a customer focussed approach to all of your work with the ability to communicate effectively at both a technical and non-technical level.
