Senior Developer (Access/SQL) - Permanent

Yoh has a direct hire opportunity for a SENIOR DEVELOPER (ACCESS/SQL) to join our client in Charlotte, NC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Productivity Solutions is a new department within the client's IT organization focused on rapid application development using agile/iterative software development methodologies. Additionally, the Productivity Solutions team supports many Legacy MS Access/SQL databases which require support and migration to more robust platforms.
- Under the direction of the Development Manager and/or Project Manager the Senior Software Developer will work individually or as part of a team responsible for improving existing applications and/or new application development to meet the changing needs of our business. Specific assignments may include application design, development, coding for enhancements and fixes, testing and performance tuning.
- The Senior Developer will demonstrate a proven track record of success and a passion for software solutions.
- The client's team supports many Legacy applications which were built using MS Access and/or SQL Server, so familiarity with these tools and ability to troubleshoot is a must. We will also be utilizing Visual Studio for new applications so competency building applications with both MS Access and Visual Studio is preferred.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Advanced programming in MS Access 2007-2013
- Class Libraries
- Advanced Form Controls (events, split forms)
- Making use of Access's built-in features for rapid development
- ADO
- Advanced VB 6.0/VBA
- Expertise in developing applications in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008-2012 using ASP.NET, C#, VB, SQL Server 2005 and beyond.
- Languages: C#.NET,VB.NET, Advanced SQL
- Microsoft Technologies : ASP.NET 2.0/3.5/4.0,WCF 3.5, ADO.NET
- Scripting Language : JavaScript, HTML
- Technologies: AJAX, JQuery. Markup
- Languages: HTML 4.0, XML
- RDBMS: SQL SERVER 2005/2008, Oracle 9i
- Framework: .NET Framework 2.0/3.5/4.0
- Tools: : Crystal Report, Visual Studio 2010
- Hands on experience of debugging an application using the tools provided by the Visual Studio 2008+.
- Ability to quickly grasp any new technologies and concepts.
- SharePoint 2010 and (Optional) Intermediate SharePoint Designer
