Senior Desktop Support Analyst,Linux, SC Clearance, Exeter

Senior Desktop Support Analyst with SC CLEARANCE, LINUX based in Exeter with Tivoli environment and working knowledge of linux.

Job Purpose Deliver service monitoring solutions using IBM Tivoli software and to provide the technical support required to ensure that the delivery of the monitoring service meets the agreed SLA.

Responsibilities

1. Work with the Service System Monitoring Team Leader; team and Project Managers to ensure that appropriate work plans and controls are maintained to assure the delivery of the business goals.

2. Ensure that all business processes (including ITIL processes), work instructions and development guidance associated with the Service Monitoring tools, supported and developed by the team, are followed to ensure the most efficient and effective use of resources in line with their priorities.

3. Support the Team in the delivery and management of Service and System Monitoring applications to the agreed SLA and best practise standards for both support and development of the services following standard procedures.

Essential Experience

- SC CLEARANCE
- Knowledge of IT support processes
- LINUX EXPERIENCE
- Tivoli Environment
- Degree educated.- ideally related to either IT or financial markets
- Good understanding of Microsoft desktop operating systems
- Bright, enthusiastic and keen to learn
- Proactive, hands-on approach, self-starter, able to take the initiative
- Strong inter-personal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels
