Role Summary:
This role is for a Senior Desktop Lead Engineer who will join a highly skilled desktop engineering team responsible for design and produce secure, stable, and with good user experience build for desktop, laptop, VM and tablet based on Microsoft landscape. In this particular role, the candidate will concentrate on engineering new build based on Windows 10, which will be introduced across the whole bank.

Role Description:
- The Senior Desktop Lead Engineer will be required to take business requirements from product management, gather and take into the account all requirements related to bank enterprise architecture and answer them with technical solutions during engineering process of new Windows10 build releases.
- The Candidate will be involved in the optimization of the build and work in areas such as performance in terms of speed to loading applications, overall performance, login times, policy load times, configuration management and vulnerability management.
- The Senior Desktop Lead Engineer will take technical lead role in his area and will act as centre of competence for product management, architecture and engineering team.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ Years' experience in Windows Desktop Deployments.
- Strong Working Experience of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7, Windows10)
- Experience in system management and deployments software (SCCM)
- Experience of working in environment as part of a team supporting or engineering Windows client deployments.
- Understanding of Enterprise Architecture, virtualization, VDI, hands on experience in Big Environments at least with 3000+ Users
- Familiarity in in-depth troubleshooting of problems with Active Directory and GPO.
- Must have an understanding of the security requirements of deploying a Desktop build within a financial Institution and the ability to interpret security standards and ensure adherence to them.
- Must have very strong Presentation Skills. (Needs to explain Advantages and Disadvantages to the Clients)
- Experience of App-v based application troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Windows Server.
- Previous experience of integration work.
- Experience of Virtualizing Desktop Environment and Citrix technologies.

- Microsoft Certification
- Fluent in German
- SME for Deployment of Global Desktop
- Knowledge of MSI and packaging methodologies
- Knowledge of PowerShell & VBS
- Knowledge of Windows Client deployment
- Knowledge of Active Directory, especially Group Policies
- Knowledge of WMI
- Knowledge of PKIs
- Knowledge of ITIL processes

Education:
Graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related disciplines or 15 years+ experience in relevant disciplines
