Senior Desktop Lead Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Desktop Lead Engineer for a contract position based in Zurich.

Your main responsibilities will be:

*To take business requirements from product management, gather and take into the account all requirements related to bank enterprise architecture and answer to them with technical solutions during engineering process of new Windows10 build releases.
*Involved in the optimization of the build and work in areas such as performance in the terms of speed to loading applications, overall performance, login times, policy load times, configuration management and vulnerability management.
*To take a technical lead role and act as centre of competence for product management, architecture and engineering team.

The skills and experience needed for this position are:

*Graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related disciplines or 15 years+ experience in relevant disciplines
*At least 10 years Windows engineering
*Thorough knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7, Windows10)
*Knowledge and experience in system management and deployments software (SCCM)
*Knowledge of MSI and packaging methodologies
*Knowledge of PowerShell & VBS
*Knowledge of Windows Client deployment
*Knowledge of Active Directory, especially Group Policies
*Knowledge of WMI
*Experience of App-v based application troubleshooting.
*Knowledge of Windows Server
*Previous experience of integration work
*Experience of Virtualizing Desktop Environment and Citrix technologies in Big Environments (50000+ end points)
*Knowledge of PKIs
*Knowledge of ITIL processes
*Understanding of the security requirements of deploying a Desktop build within a financial Institution.
