Senior Design Engineer - Sheet Metal - Leicester - 35K +

I am currently working with anEast Midlandsbased manufacturer and specialist of controlled environment rooms and chambers with integrated air-conditioning, air distribution and specialist lighting arrangements. The company require a design engineer to carry out the design work for these components and assemblies. Working from an initial design brief, the design engineer will produce detailed drawings and bills of materials. The engineer will liaise with component suppliers, in house and sub-contract manufacturing facilities, and on-site technicians. The design engineer will work on both bespoke projects and standard product designs. Essential skills required in order to be considered for this role are as follows: -Design of Sheet metal fabrications and electro-mechanical assemblies. -Experienced in the design of box section and angle framework - advantage -Good communication skills. -Able to prioritise and work to deadlines. -Willing to travel nationally and withinEuropeif required. -Full driving license. Other areas of the Engineering skill set of interest would be: -Thermodynamics, Airflow. -Refrigeration / cooling systems. -LV Electrical / control systems. -Project Management.
