Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical) Runcorn

Huxley Associates and an International Powerhouse in the Design & Manufacture of Pressure Vessels & Autoclaves are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis with a specific remit to look at NPI / NPD of products (as well as re-engineering / modifications of existing products).

Based in the Runcorn / Warrington / Liverpool area, the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be working with some of household names in their particular field and this role would suit someone who sees Team Leading / Management as the next stage in their career path.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer should be a HNC / HND / Degree Educated individual (Mechanical Engineering) and have relevant experience in the design of bespoke pressure equipment (AutoClaves, Pressure Vessels, Boiler, Condensors, Reactors etc) and possess an ability to understand the nature /complexity of the products.

Possessing full design lifecycle experience (Requirements capture through to delivery), the Senior

Mechanical Design Engineer should have extensive experience of 3D design / detailed design (Ideally SolidWorks), as well as experience in carrying out pressure / stress / mechanical calculations (Finglow etc) & of working to pressure-related standards (ASME / PD5500 / API etc).

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be a designing a mixture of NPI, modified or re-engineered machinery / pressure-based products to specific customer / market requirements and requires an individual with a good understanding of materials / materials engineering, given the variety and expense of materials used in fabrication

Interfacing with suppliers & clients alike, the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer should be an articulate and effective communicator, capable of working with stakeholders at all levels, on both an internal and external basis.
