Senior Delivery Manager

SENIOR DELIVERY MANAGER - SMART METERING - NEC CONTRACTS - ENGINEERING - STAKEHOLDER - 3RD PARTY

My client, a leading Utilities and Energy company is currently looking for a Senior Delivery Manager on a contract basis located in East Sussex

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To establish the external (Role 1) or internal (Role 2) technical workforce to deploy Smart Meters within core supply areas
- To establish and set up the organization structure, mobilise the team, define key roles and responsibilities and ways of working with other parts of Energy Field Services (EFS)
- The role holder will work very closely with the Technical and Quality Assurance Manager and their team and the office based Support Manager and their team (eg for scheduling)
- To facilitate setting up NEC style contracts with external service suppliers as foundation to building a relationship with them
- To set up and mobilise Technical and Quality Assurance activities such as technical helpdesks in the Metering market, and quality assurance audits and remediation expediting
- To mobilise external 3rd Party Logistics solutions through initial preparation to controlled environment to ramp to peak
- To engage senior programme and operational business stakeholders in the set- up of the future organisation.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- Senior manager level candidate experience in working on large projects/strategic programmes with large organisations
- The ability to influence and engage on all corporate levels within a complex Matrix managed environment. Strong stakeholder management skills
- Previous experience of the Utilities industry or similar with a comparable level of complexity and regulation (eg Telecommunications)
- Previous experience in supporting large organisations in key Project Role in setting up new departments/capabilities
- Technical knowledge around Smart Metering and associated regulations would be advantageous
- Experience in setting up and managing NEC style contracts
- Experience in engaging and managing third party suppliers
