Senior Decision Science Analyst - Permanent - City of London

Senior Decision Science Analyst required by a leading City based Subprime bank. As a Senior Decision Science Analyst you will be working within a team of 6 Decision Science Analysts and will be reporting into the Head of Decision Science.

Your daily responsibilities will be; developing predictive models / scorecards for underwriting, credit risk and response, supporting the development of credit strategy, prospect targeting, collections recovery, drive modelling and segmentation for core lending strategies across the business, i.e. Account Level Profitability, Collections, and Fraud Authorisations.

Other duties include; documentation, support implementation, monitoring, maintenance and optimisation of all developed models-and re-development of models when necessary.

Suitable candidates must have a 2/1 degree (or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Economics), strong knowledge of scorecards, hands on experience with SAS, and 5 years+ analytical and modeling experience within the financial services, or credit lending industry.

As this role comprises management of external credit bureau relationships, copious presentation to the business, mentoring of junior staff, project management of key Decision Science projects, and identification of new opportunities through non-standard methodologies, candidates should possess excellent communication skills, will be able to present exceptionally well, proactive, assertive and able to operate under pressure.

Experience within the SQL and general analysis modules and packages such as SAS Enterprise Miner is desirable, although this is not a prerequisite.

Strong candidates will be provided with the opportunity to embark on managerial roles, and / or head up international projects.
