Senior Data Warehouse Technical Lead - English Speaking Contract in Zü

For a global bank based here in Zürich we are searching for a Senior Data Warehouse Technical Lead.

Overview of business area or project:

Technical lead for global data warehouse platform to support evolving regulatory needs for General Counsel providing consistent and high quality data.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead technical role in implementing a global data sourcing and provisioning platform to support evolving regulatory needs for downstream GC applications providing consistent, high quality data
- Provide technical assistance to team and drive issue resolution including optimize and performance tuning
- Close collaboration with project delivery lead in every development process aspect
- Creating and maintaining target architecture vision and roadmap for big data platform migration
- Lead technical migration to the strategic data platform (big data platform) for GC

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

- HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE IN DATA WAREHOUSE PROGRAMMING AND ARCHITECTURE. TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
- WORKING EXPERIENCE ON MANAGED EDW PLATFORMS. PROFOUND KNOWLEDGE OF INFORMATICA POWERCENTER IS A MUST
- Hands-on experience managing large number of upstream and downstream data feeds and applications
- Deep understanding of big data architecture, challenges and migration options
- Hands-on experience on Cloudera Hadoop platform is a great plus

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

- Agile development and continuous integration
- Jira and Wiki confluence experience
- Proven experience in technical coaching and managing medium-size (up to 20 people) distributed teams
- Development experience on a big data platform: Kafka, Sqoop, HDFS, Spark, Python, SQL and non-SQL DB experience
- Good interpersonal skills, able communicator, highly autonomous
