Senior Data Management Support Specialist Sybase ASE 15

For one of our clients in Amsterdam we are currently looking for a Data management support specialist for SYBASE ASE.

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Data Management Support Specialist for Sybase ASE. Objective of the function The Data Management Support Specialist is, together with an Agile/Scrum team, responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of the business applications of our client. The main tasks concern optimizing the technical data model, database performance and data manipulation functions. Client utilizes Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise 15.7 as DBMS combined with Sybase Replication Server. Stored procedures are used for complex data manipulation and calculations.

Client uses the following technologies and frameworks:

Java 1.6, JScript, Knockout, AngularJS, Spring MVC, Spring WS, JUnit, Sonar, Jenkins, Maven, Hibernate, SoapUI, JMeter en Selenium.

Tasks Design and implement (changes on) databases, including performance tuning; Develop complex queries/stored procedures (SQL Scripting); Support the execution of integration-, performance and acceptance tests; Support on solving production disruptions, conducting research into the root cause and drafting amendments; Review queries/stored procedures created by colleagues.

Requirements

In depth knowledge and experience in Sybase ASE 15 en SQL Scripting; In depth knowledge of Sybase Replication Server; Basic knowledge of JAVA, J2EE is preferred; Hands-on mentality; Communicative and collaborative; Wide experience with high critical environments, preferably gained within financial institutions; Experience with Agile/Scrum development method;
