Senior Data Engineer

I currently have a Daily Rate contract position available in Zwolle, Netherlands.

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE INCLUDE (IDEALLY BUT NOT ALL):

As Data Engineer, you work on the data-as-a-service infrastructure so Data Analysts can work smartly and quickly with the gigabytes of data flowing through our systems daily. You also work on computer products such as Search and Recommendation services, which are part of the E-commerce platform.

ACTIVITIES:

- You think and develop solutions for new data needs
- You optimize existing data solutions
- You automate as much as possible using applications, scripts and infrastructure
- You work with our data platform
- From a DevOps mentality, you take into account stability, maintenance and availability of data

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum 3 years work experience as a Data Engineer in a highly data-driven organization
- You find data interesting, it's not just a technique
- Practical knowledge of computer technology such as Big Data, Cassandra, ElasticSearch or Hadoop/

HDFS

- Proven experience with Scripting in Python, Ruby and Bash of Scala/Java

Commitment: full time

Duration: 3 months with option for extension
