HOURLY/SALARY: to $80 W2 + all travel expenses covered

GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a Senior Data Domain/Avamar Implementation Specialist for a contract opportunity in Parsippany, NJ. This role will work with assigned clients to perform infrastructure Backup Recovery assessments, as well as design, architecture and implement new Backup Recovery solutions.

- Performs necessary Backup infrastructure maintenance in accordance with customer's change management policies
- Management of configuration and layout of Backup infrastructure
- Provide Subject Matter expertise:  Business Continuity, High Availability, Backup, Recovery and Archiving.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews
- Assists with data migration as required.
- Provides analysis of Environment and Best Practice knowledge transfer
- Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning and design as applicable.
- Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of experience in the following skill sets

- Backup Recovery - Architecture/Design in Complex Environments
- EMC DataDomain - Implementation/Support
- EMC Avamar Backup - Implementation/Support
- Advanced knowledge of EMC Hardware/Software/Operating Systems
- Documentation - Database/Software
- Excellent English and strong consultative skills at a cross functional level
