Senior Data Center Engineer- Virtualization

JOB TITLE: SENIOR DATA CENTER ENGINEER- VIRTUALIZATION
JOB LOCATION: HILVERSUM, NETHERLANDS
JOB TYPE: CONTRACT

As the SENIOR PLATFORM ENGINEER -SERVER/VIRTUALIZATION, your role on the team will include providing subject matter expertise within the team to implement and maintain virtualization technologies including automation, orchestration, software defined data center/networking, provisioning and service catalogs to optimize Client Data Center strategies.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIRED SKILLS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Proven experience in design and implementation of server and virtualization strategies including automation and orchestration/workflow technologies to enable end to end provisioning across platforms
Provide senior level expertise in system availability, performance, reliability, security and data integrity of cross platform data center infrastructure by working with peers as well as consumers of downstream systems to provide top level environmental support, troubleshooting and escalation services
Proactively ensure proper capacity of systems, compliance with architectural standards, and alignment with overall Nike Tech strategies
Immediate ownership and support in complex escalations and incidents relating to server and virtualization platforms and their ecosystems
Commitment to collaborate with other subject matter experts to realize the technical vision and to provide highly optimized and robust platform services
Passion and experience in applying fit-for-purpose architecture, governance, security, and global process standards to system changes and deployments
Strong server hardware platform experience and configuration, including but not limited to HP DL/BL and Cisco UCS platforms.
Strong experience progressively increasing responsibility in data center and infrastructure engineering or virtualization technologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area
Experience working as a Senior Engineer in both large (1-year+ projects) and small projects ( >3 months), preferably in an infrastructure space
Ability to work with onshore/offshore teams, and communicate using virtual communication tools (phone, conferencing, online meeting)
