Senior Data Analyst - Bracknell - Excel

Large telco is looking to secure the services of a senior Data Analyst for a 3 months contract with a strong focus on validating data and communications with Service Managers.

Now that the organisations Data Cleanse has been completed, the objective is to refine the data and keep it current before the migration (currently planned for March 2014).

Activities include:

* Review and correct errors reported from within the Green and Red lists themselves (e.g. missing records from nodes)
* Review exception reports generated by the Data Analyst against the existing rules and confirm any changes
* Receive resolution information from Service Manager (these are likely to be received by Solution Architect and handed over) - these are answers to queries sent out during the Data Cleanse phase. These can be updated to the data until the point of data freeze which will need to precede the migration
* Review and confirm the status of switch ports on the Unclassified report - these are switch ports which didn't get cleansed during the first cleanse activity
* Incorporate new data into the lists - next switch dump expected in January 2014.

Methodology:

* In order to effect changes to the Green or Red lists, the master copies are stored on Content Server. Copies to be taken and changes made directly on the copies (include adding and removing lines of data)
* Return the updated spreadsheets to Data Analyst (Data Analyst will update the data on the main database and produces a new version of the master lists)
* Good MS Excel skills and good data accuracy is all that is really required - an understanding of voice service configuration is helpful, needs to be able to work independently and self-starter

This role can be in either London or Bracknell with travel between sites likely.
