Senior Cyber Analyst

Background

Our central governement client require a highly skilled Cyber Analyst to start ASAP for an anitial 6 months contract in London. It is highly desirable that you hold a high level of security clearance or are able to undergo a high level of security clearance.

The Joint Security Operations Centre (JSOC) is part of the system of technical, procedural and operational countermeasures that is being put in place to defend the Department from cyber attack and fraud once. Its key functions will be. To collect and collate intelligence from a broad range of sources. To fuse this intelligence to create an agreed joint threat and operations picture of cyber and fraud threats and attacks. To monitor and measure the operational performance and balance effective security. To analyse the joint threat and operations picture to classify and prioritise threats, risks and attacks and assess their potential impact. This analysis can also be expected to create opportunities to use superior intelligence to defeat both computer enabled and conventional fraud

Main Duties/Responsibilities
You will be accountable for;
Major Cyber incident management coordination in conjunction with the Duty Mission Mangers. Supporting the investigation of major Cyber incidents. Systematically identifying and resolving or managing cyber vulnerabilities and risks, both Real Time and longer team. Development and delivery of JSOC Cyber analytical capability

Skills/Experience Required
Demonstrate specialist cyber analytical skills and experience, including resilience and the ability to operate in testing situations. Working with complex Security Information and Event Management products. Conversant with security best practice. Leadership in developing a Cyber analytical capability. Be able to communicate effectively in a variety of formats and to brief stakeholders. Have a sound working knowledge of security and intelligence procedures.
