Senior Cost Analyst Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SENIOR COST ANALYST to join our client in Allston, Massachusetts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform standard to slightly complex cost accounting duties and maintains cost accounting processes and systems.
- Produces standard cost accounting reports (eg, depreciation, labor, equipment reports)
- Prepares standard journal entries
- Participates in the annual budgeting process by assisting operations management in the completion of their budget inputs, review of spending, staffing, production and capital plans, and completion of the budget templates.
- Direct monthly accounting close process for the site
- Prepare and distribute monthly results to site management and for corporate consolidation
- Review, analyze, and approve (where appropriate) purchase and staffing requests while ensuring that spending and headcount levels are within budget targets Integral role in development of site budgets, forecasts, and long range plans Assist site management in the development and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Review capital asset spending with facilities and project managers

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred
- One to three (1-3) years experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing site preferred
- Knowledge of MFG PRO or similar shop floor manufacturing reporting system
- Familiarity with Standard Costing, BoM's, Routings, and work order management
