Senior Core Java Developer - Credit Derivatives

The team provides an integrated suite of front-to-back technology for pricing, trade capture and risk management for external clients, sales, traders and risk managers.

The team is a small group, equally split between IT, QA and front-office. Due to the nature of our high-frequency trading operations the IT function is critical.

Main Function

* Extend and support the low-latency trading system.
* The ideal candidate will fit into the team and the current code base, make it their own, and use this as a base to be able to design and develop new components.
* Core areas include trading execution engine, interaction and messaging between federations of trading/pricing engines, order-management and risk/position-management.

* Java: have experience of writing multithreaded, low latency trading applications, including a good understanding of sockets and the workings of a Java VM.
* Design: Ability to translate business requirements into OO design specifications
