TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
- Ability to write projects encompassing brand, corporate communications, and company business units (basic research, reproductive and genetic health, oncology, etc.) with minimal direction.
- Information about the projects: Projects will span from B-to-B and B-to-C, and include direct marketing (digital and print), sales collateral (brochures, sell sheets, etc.), web/interactive, and video scripts.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Partner with internal marketers and stakeholders to deliver creative concepts and messaging that persuasively convey the company's value propositions and achieve marketing objectives.
- Collaborate with art directors to develop campaign concepts, pitch, and execute various tactics and channels.
- Deliver strategic messaging content that demonstrates a keen understanding of customer segments, go-to-market strategies, unique selling propositions, customer research, and competitive landscapes.
- Organize, prioritize, and multitask a variety of writing and proofreading assignments.
- Communicate complex scientific and clinical data in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions to develop ideas for campaign concepts infographics, videos and other tactics.
- Leverage best practices for effective concept/messaging development and measurement.
- Drive adoption of brand standards internally and externally.
- Ensure excellence in messaging consistency and execution by proofing own content, utilizing Acrolinx proofreading system, and working with external proofreaders.
- Participate and provide concept and messaging guidance to advertising agency partners.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
- WORK SAMPLES MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR PROFILE.
- CANDIDATES SUBMITTED WITHOUT WORK SAMPLES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
- Minimum of 7 years copywriting and campaign development experience
- Combination of advertising agency and in-house corporate experience required
- Big B-to-B and B-to-C brand experience working on integrated campaigns and launches
- Life sciences, medical, diagnostics, pharma, or health care industry experience
- Familiarity with creative briefs, persona-driven content strategies, competitive analysis, positioning, and message maps
- Demonstrated multi-channel campaign work (portfolio must be submitted with resume for consideration)
- Strong written and oral presentation skills
- Ability to lead and evaluate creative and clearly communicate creative direction to others
- Adept at working within and developing brand guidelines and messaging standards
- Accustomed to meeting deadlines and managing a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
- Acute attention to detail in all aspects of work
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and AMA Style familiarity.
