Senior Contracts Officer, with public sector / OJEU experience, required for 12 month fixed contract with public sector client in Inverness.

Duties required:

* Manage a team of contracts staff and commission, negotiate, let, administer and evaluate and review contracts for all requirements
* Develop commodity group procurement strategies
* Ensure legally sound contracts for all service contracts are in place
* Ensure best value is observed in securing services
* Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
*

Essential Skills:

* Staff management
* Inter agency liaison and planning
* Significant experience of managing a contract process from tender through to contract implementation
* Sound understanding of relevant legislation, including European procurement regulations and of relevant central government policy/guidance
