Senior Contract Manager - Baden area

Our client, one of the biggest engineering companies based in Switzerland, is looking for a SENIOR CONTRACT MANAGER who has PROVEN EXPERIENCE in CONTRACT AND LEGAL MATTERS RELATED TO BUY/SELL MODELS..

This is a contracting role based in the Baden area and planned to start in May until end of November.

Project background:

As the Group AVP, Procurement Buy/Sell Legal and Contracts Manager you will lead the provision of contract management services to the Procurement Buy/Sell legal entities, ensuring all contract management activities are executed in accordance with Group/Division/Business Unit directives and instructions including Company procedures and the Contract Management Framework.

You will work closely with the category management CoE (Center of Excellence), supporting category managers in negotiating supply agreements with strategic suppliers.

Tasks:

Ensure the portfolio of supply contracts in the business follows contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standard procedures

Develop contract strategy

Identify the contract baseline and highlight areas of potential risk

Ensure timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects in portfolio of contracts (ie payments, claims, variation orders, warranties, provisions, guarantees, etc.)

Ensure both contract parties have fulfilled their contractual obligations and there are no responsibilities outstanding

Assess success of the contract and document and communicate best practices and deficiencies found as part of the closeout process

Analyze prime contract terms to highlight areas of potential opportunity and risk, such as ambiguities, omissions and conflicts

Ideal Profile:

-

Master Degree in Law, Bar Exam a plus
-

Proven experience in Contractual and Legal matters related to Buy/Sell models
-

Strong legal background on the procurement side with comprehension on issues related to commodity risk, foreign exchange risk, and tax matters
-

Demonstrated success in negotiating $10 MUSD+ supply agreements
-

Experience working in international environment along with interaction with people in many countries/cultures
-

Service minded and with the mind set to support the business

High level change management and communication skills
-

Strong project management and people leadership skills and experience

Fluent in English, other languages are an added advantage
