JOB DESCRIPTION:
Build detailed and credible cost models of supplier products and services. negotiate and manage vendor contracts/sub-contracts, both business and legal terms based on them, Measurements of success: reduce costs based on analysis, enable revenue, minimize risk in aggressive time frames required by internal clients.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works on complex issues where analysis of situations and data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, intense focus on meeting client needs, and leadership.
Creates, negotiates and executes supplier contracts in Global Sourcing organization compliant with corporate policies, focused on enabling internal client success.
Develops sourcing strategy based upon strong understanding of clients' needs and supply category or supplier knowledge in order to provide direction and counsel.
Develops supply category strategy and analyzes supplier costs and margins to determine should cost'.
Handles contract issues of all types: new business, renewals, disputes, system set-up for order to pay, assignments, and performance issues.
Administers contracts in accordance with company and customer policies and procedures, provide interpretation and analysis of contract documents and reviews and evaluates customer requests for changes in or revisions of contracts that involve technical specifications, cost, payment terms or schedule impact on the company.

SKILLS:

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree required
Graduate degree (such as JD or MBA) preferred

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Consistent top performer, problem solver, and self-starter
Strong negotiator with proven track record in low leverage environments
Able to negotiate legal, business, technology and performance terms
Financial analysis of cost buildup of supplier spend
Leadership, teamwork & communication skills (to all audiences)
Ability to manage intense workloads within short time frames
Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Demonstrated success in creating excellent customer satisfaction
5 to 7 years of relevant experience
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Familiarity with process improvement in large corporate environment
Understanding of Legal terms and conditions, leadership, manage intense workloads, process Improvements

CERTIFICATIONS:
Certified Purchasing Manager preferred
